Lerash x Curaçao Carnival 2020

Lerash made his participation debut in the most fashionable way in Curacao’s most important event: KARNAVAL! Karnaval is the Papiamentu version of Carnival. Curacao is home to the Caribbean’s largest and longest-standing Carnival celebrations.

Curaçao celebrates Carnival for almost a month long. The most important moments are concentrated in two main parades: The Grand Parade and the Farewell March. The Farewell March takes place on the eve of Ash Wednesday.

This year Curaçao celebrated the 50th edition of Carnival and Lerash participated in the most fashionable way. He wanted to make sure his costume exuded traditional Carnival aspects combined with high fashion, in true Lerash fashion.

Lerash has designed his own Carnival costume. Lerash explains: ‘My costume is a mixture of ‘Magical Forest’ meets ‘Let It Snow’. Carnival of Curaçao is known for the traditional colors, glitters and feathers, I wanted to make sure I create something entirely different than the ordinary. The theme of my Carnival Group is ‘Let it Snow’. So, I came to the idea to combine animals and leaf’s of the forest with magical snowy aspects.’

Lerash has sure stolen the show during the 50th edition of Curaçao Carnival. He did it the Lerash way.

Lerash is available for individual Carnival costume designing for 2021 as of now and is accepting international bookings as well.
